Beasley #1 Also known as McCoy Cemetery #1 Hill Cemetery Jolly Cemetery
There are two to three cemeteries that go by the name of Beasley.
I go by the name used by the registry. The cemetery is located in Grass Township (E half of NE quadrant of NE quadrant of Section 2 Township 6S Range 7W) about 300 feet north of W County Road 975 N about 0.3 miles west of its intersection with N County Road 475 W.
Indiana Cemetery Locations, Volume 2, published by the Indiana Genealogical Society (01 April 2006), gives the primary cemetery name as Beasley Cemetery #1 with alternate names of Hill Cemetery, Jolly Cemetery, and McCoy Cemetery #1. There are also 2 McCoy cemeteries.
The cemetery is listed in the Cemetery and Burial Grounds Registry of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and in the State Historical Architectural and Archaeological Research Database (SHAARD) with Cemetery Record Number CR-74-21 (Beasley).
John Ozzy Williams in 2010 has taken all the pictures that you see and the additional data is also from him. My thanks to him for his work.
This cemetery was read by Kris Manley and Sharon Patmore in 1985. At that time the cemetery was neat and well taken care of. Please click on the pictures to enlarge
